We feel that we need to create a pool of Women Mediators in regions and countries where different kinds of conflicts are going on. To be accepted as Mediators and to be effective, women need to have experience of activism, a good reputation as a peace activist/human rights defender and acceptance by different parties. So, for this course, we are looking for participants who have these qualities, who are concerned about the ongoing conflicts around them and who are willing to devote time to peace building. We welcome applications from women participants from conflict regions who wish to enhance their knowledge and capacities in gender-sensitive peace conflict transformation and mediation in order to actively engage in peace processes. The participants will share their ideas, experiences and expertise and connect with other women peace mediators from different regions of the world. We feel selection of good participants is the most important aspect for having a good and meaningful course which will lead to more peaceful communities. We need your active support to make this venture successful by identifying potential participants. Those interested in this course are requested to fill out the questionnaire (attached) electronically and send it together with a motivation letter (800-1000 words) and your CV by 20 May 2013 to the following two contact points:
